Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk- A Must Place to Visit in Santa Cruz, California

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is an oceanfront amusement park in Santa Cruz California. It is a seaside charm in Santa Cruz where fun and relaxation are all in one. Its wide sand beach and roaring waves are truly amazing. The amusement’s park’s lights, rides, games and music are lively and inviting especially during holiday season like Christmas, where in  during night time they turned on all the Christmas lights around the place.

From San Mateo going to Santa Cruz, it took us 2 and a half hours of travel including time where we’ve been stuck in traffic and when we had to stop in a restaurant for lunch. Mia loved traveling, she’s not fussy and she really behaved well during the entire travel. The movement of the car or the van easily rocked her to sleep all the time and when it stops she felt it and she wakes up.

    THE BEACH

We went directly to the beach when we reached the boardwalk. It has a wide sand and we had to carry Mia in her stroller to the sea side. There were birds flying around and it was a little bit crowded but we still got our own space to sit and enjoy the beach. It was a very lovely afternoon for we got to see the sunset while relaxing and enjoying the ocean waves. Mia really loved the sound that it makes. I held her in my arms as we sat in the sand and she winked every time the natural light struck her eyes. She looked at the waves and wondered about the sound, how I love to see her cute face when she gets too focus on a specific thing. Later on after some time she fell asleep and she slept long until we went back to the van.beach

    THE AMUSEMENT PARK

We took some time to visit the amusement park before we leave. It was an old school kind of amusement park not as modern and big as the new amusement park you know nowadays. There were old type of rides and arcades including treats, you can choose any of your preference which one will you go to have fun. We played few arcades and won some toys and picture frames. Prices were reasonable and the place was little crowded during our visit so we didn’t really stay long to play for more.

ridesOne of the rides in the amusement park.

One attraction here too is the roaring camp train, Santa Cruz beach train was full of decors and lights when we visited because it was during the season holidays. During this kind of season, a lot of people were visiting and wanted to enjoy riding this train so booking or getting your tickets online will be much more convenient.

    TRAVEL TIPS:

    1. If you’re looking for fun and relaxation all in one place, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a good choice to pick. But you may want to visit early so you can enjoy both the amusement park and the beach on the same day and the place gets crowded later on during the day.
    2. The beach was so refreshing especially when you come during sunset so if you prefer it more than in an amusement park then it can be the best time for a visit. Bring something that can be your mat in the sand so you can sit and relax the rest of the time of your visit.
    3. If you’re more a fan of games and arcade, always checked online about their hours base on time of your visit especially during holidays and some occasions.

We really recommend this place especially for family like us who really do enjoy being outside our home, to have fun and relax in one place at the same time. It is also best to come in the beach during the season where the temperature is getting warmer like spring and summer. If you’re in the area or even just a traveler then Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is worth a visit. You may not be a person who love arcades and amusement park but love the beach more, or the other way, I’m sure you can still have an amazing time here just like we did. It’s for all ages!

  • Hulugan Falls: Luisiana, Laguna Philippines

    Hulugan Falls: Luisiana, Laguna Philippines

Located in Brgy. San Salvador, Luisiana Laguna is an hour trek and hike going to the majestic Hulugan Falls. Since Laguna has been known for its large lakes, one source of water that fills up those big lakes came from the waterfall of Hulugan. It is 2-3 hours away car drive from Manila and if you wish to travel through public transport, ride a bus heading to Santa Cruz, Laguna in Cubao or in Taft. From there ride a jeepney going to Luisiana. Ask the locals to head you to the registration hall of Hulugan Falls. Once there, first is to register and then a local tourist guide will be there to assist each groups starting from the head of the trail. Local guide’s fee will depend on the tourist generosity.

    The Experience

The unforgettable worth the trek and hiking experience going to the majestic Hulugan Falls is worth sharing among you guys, who I’m sure is a travel seeker too. This place is a must on the list of your travels once you visit the Philippines.

    Hulugan Falls

Falls hunting is one of my favorite hobby, actually since I was a young teenager I’ve made great adventures going to numerous falls with my brother and my Papa. I was also very fortunate to have adventurous friends who at the same time love falls hunting too.

I could say that this experience was very unique, the level of difficulty going through the cascade and getting through the rocks were quite challenging. Walking down the trail was a bit easier at the beginning of the hike but getting closer to the main trail of the falls were the challenging steep descents and rocky cascades either going uphill and downhill. The trek got more exciting when we crossed numerous small rivers and climb up big rocks just to get through the other side of the trail.hulugan falls cascades We also passed through mini falls while we were on our way and though we have to get through big rocks, getting closer to each was worth the photographs.hulugan first falls One of the waterfall we’ve seen while we were on our halfway of the trek going to the main trail of Hulugan falls.hulugan 2nd rocky fallsHuge rocks to climb for an up close view of the mini falls and in order to see its deep narrow catch basin. One beautiful view of the water cascade can be found almost at the final end of the trail before you can see the long marvelous fountain of water from the majestic Hulugan falls. This was where we seated and relaxed for some time and took a lot of photos after the difficult descents that we’ve been through. We were all wet and muddy after crossing rivers, climbing rocks and getting through the steep slopes so it was the perfect spot to clean ourselves a little before proceeding to the hike.hulugan final cascade

We witness a huge rock standing right before we took our very first glimpse on the waterfall. I took my time to just feel the beautiful scenery I’m seeing right at that moment, it was gorgeous. The huge rock marked the final entrance of Hulugan Falls where showers from the strong flow of the waterfall can be felt. The nature’s serenity was invigorating, the environment was so green from trees that surrounds it and what’s more enchanting were the rainbows that flickers on the showers.

I am always amazed with what nature has to offer and seeing the charm of Hulugan falls was like a dream. The waterfall looked stunningly clean and the strong force of the flowing water was a loud voice that sung in the entirety of the place. Hulugan falls stood with elegance and pride with its height of approximately 70 meters or so and a wide catch basin where people can swim and enjoy its refreshing cold water.

hulugan falls up closeWe took our time to enjoy the moment of being there, we enjoyed our packed lunch and after getting full, we jumped off to the natural pool of Hulugan Falls’ catch basin. Indeed it was the most exciting moment for all of us. It was absolutely worth the trek and hike!

myself in huluganOut of all the falls hunting adventures I’ve been, I could say that this was truly the most majestic falls I have seen and the hike was fun even if it took us a long time to get there. After the unforgettable experience, I gathered some fun facts and adventure tips that can add up to your background about this lovely adventure.

    Fun Facts:

    • Expect a long trekking and hiking.
    • Trails are a bit challenging, there will be steep rocky slopes along the way.
    • There are rivers to cross, small and big ones.
    • Witness small rapids or water cascades.
    • The place is easy to find and a tour guide really helps a lot (they don’t have standard tour guide fee so it’s only base on your generosity as a tourist)

    Adventure Tips:

    • Its not advisable to wear shoes, a waterproof trekking sandals is more convenient to use.
    • Bring your own food and lots of water. Also make sure to bring your own trash bag, be a responsible tourist who takes care of nature.
    • Its best to go on a hot sunny day or summer. Rocky slopes are dangerous to hike when it’s rainy day.
    • Take extra batteries for your camera’s and protective gears for each too. Waterproof cameras are great when you want to take photos within the waterfall area.

  • Report of Birth (ROB); PH Consulate San Francisco,CA

Report of Birth (ROB); PH Consulate San Francisco,CA

Since I gave birth to our first wonderful baby girl we were so happy of the thought that she is already an American. At the same time we knew that she can also have the chance to be a dual citizen because of us, her parents. We got so excited to register her to be a natural Filipino that’s why we went to the Philippine embassy in San Francisco here in California to apply for the report of birth.

    REPORT OF BIRTH

    What is it about?

It is a declaration of the birth of a Filipino child born abroad or overseas. This is a legal process done in the consulate by both Filipino citizen parents or one who is not naturalized yet in a foreign country. This process should be done immediately in order to register such birth with the Office of Civil Registrar General in Manila.

    Why is it important?

    1. It’s a legal responsibility of a Filipino citizen parent to duly register the birth of a child to the consulate immediately.
    2. The report of birth is a proof that a child born in a foreign country is a natural born Filipino. This means that the child is accepted to have dual citizenship or dual nationality.
    3. As a natural born Filipino, the child will have the rights of a dual citizen. See all details and read all the benefits of a dual citizen here: http://www.philippineconsulatela.org/consular-services-2/dual-citizenship-ra-9225
    4. When the child is already registered in the consulate, he/she will be able to practice the benefits of being a Filipino in the Philippines such as land ownership.
    5. The child will have his/her own Philippine birth certificate and will be eligible to have a Filipino passport too which means traveling and staying for long in the Philippines won’t be any problem at all.

I started to search online about the requirements for the report of birth application. I found the official website of the consulate (Phil. Embassy San Francisco CA http://www.philippinessanfrancisco.org/) and the information I needed was so easy to be found. consulate website

What are the requirements for Report of Birth?

In this way when you apply to the right consulate the process of any legal documents will be faster.
    • Fill-up the report of birth form

As stated in the form all details of the parents should be based at the time of child’s birth. All the required documents are listed on the consulate’s website, you can print it as your guide or checklist. This is the preview of the lists:

The consulate which is located in 447 Sutter Street,San Francisco, CA 94108 is 24 miles away from where we live and we drove off for about an hour to get there. We made sure to arrive as early as possible so we can be first in line.

    The Experience

I have to edit a lot of things from  the form I submitted like the place of birth of my baby, I’ve included the county where I gave birth but according to the consul they needed the city and state only. Its very convenient that I separated all the requirements for the report of birth application to the report of marriage application in a separate folders, it was easy for the officer to segregate each copy to verify it to the original document.

  • Report of Marriage Application (ROM); PH Consulate San Francisco,CA

Report of Marriage Application (ROM); PH Consulate San Francisco,CA

One of the legal process a Filipino immigrant should do after getting married and after giving birth in a foreign country is to apply for report of marriage and report of birth to Philippine Consulate General/Philippine embassy that has the authority over the locality where it took place. It applies to whether married to a foreign national or to a fellow Filipino as long as you got married abroad or overseas.

I’m a Filipino and was married to a U.S citizen early last year 2017 and on the same year I gave birth to our first baby here California. So with all these things that had happened, we decided to report our marriage and to report the birth of our baby to the consulate before our first anniversary and before our baby reached her first birthday. We wanted our marriage to be registered legally in the Philippines and be able to change my status in all my records there as well. We also want our baby to have her own legal records as a Filipino citizen too.

These are all about the report of marriage application from the definition, importance of filing the report to all the requirements needed. A separate article will be for the report of birth.

    REPORT OF MARRIAGE

    A Legal Document Application

    What is it about?

It is a legal registration requirement for a married Filipino citizen overseas to report marriage that had occurred in a foreign country with the Consulate General/Philippine Embassy. This is mandated by Civil Registry Law Act 3753 and also covered on Family Code of the Philippines (sec.664). The Family Code states that “records of marriages whether performed by the Philippine Consular Officer or by the local religious or civil authorities shall be kept and transmitted to the Philippine Civil Registrar through the Department of Foreign Affairs”.

    Why is it important?

    1. Filing the report of marriage is the way to register the marriage in the Civil Registry of Philippines Statistics Office formerly known as the NSO. This means a change of your status and records in the Philippines.
    2. Once you filed this report you will have a record or a certificate of marriage registered in the Philippines so whenever you need to change certain things in the Philippines such as insurances that require a marriage license then you can be able to provide one.
    3. The report of marriage will be one of the evidence in changing legal documents such as renewing a Philippine passport. A change from using maiden surname to your married surname will only be possible if you filed this report.

With all these in mind, I started to search online about the requirements for the report of marriage and report of birth applications. I found the official website of the consulate and I was surprised that the information I needed was so easy to find.

    THE EXPERIENCE

The Philippine EmbassyWe arrived in the embassy at 9 a.m and we were asked to head to the 2nd floor going straight to the separate lane for applicants with baby or senior applicants. I took a blue ticket number from the stall in the front of the waiting room and we waited for almost 20-30 minutes before an officer called our turn. By then I informed her that we’ll be filing both report of marriage and report of birth so then she asked first about the requirements for the report of marriage. I handed down the folder of the requirements which I prepared separately from the other application. As per the rules of submission, only copies shall be given or surrendered to the consulate but all original document is a must to bring for validation of each document copies. documentsAfter everything has been validated, the officer asked us to proceed to 6th floor for the next step. I submitted the document to the cashier window and I was instructed to wait until the document has been verified before I pay the fee. After 20 minutes or so I was called and informed to edit some of the information which I missed to fill up. Then after I completed editing I submitted it back  and an officer checked it before I was told to pay the $25 fee. After paying I got the receipt with the information of the time of release of the document, at 4 p.m basically 4 hours after.

We went for a walk and took our lunch. As we walked around the city, we discovered things that were new to us like the public painting expo painting expoand the lady monument in San Francisco which symbolizes one of the historic events of  the Philippines. monument of Philippines in San Francisco, californiaOur waiting time was indeed well spent.

Thirty minutes before 4 p.m we went back to the embassy in 6th floor, I was about to call for the officer when I read the label in a box near the cashier’s window stating “place the receipt for document release and wait for your name to be called” and so that’s what I did. We seated and waited for their call. After probably 15 minutes the officer called my name and gave me the document. I was expecting to see a Philippine certificate of marriage but it wasn’t what I expected, it was a copy of all the forms I submitted just compiled, stamped and signed by the Deputy Consul General. The officer told me that the consulate will send our filed report to the Civil Registry in Philippine Statistics Office in Manila and then after 6 months I can request online for the true copy of our Philippine marriage certificate.

Certificate of marriage from philippine embassyWe filed both report of marriage and report of birth that same day. The process for report of birth will be in a separate post. Have you ever filed a legal document to any consulate? Its one of the experiences that is worth to share for others who are on the same boat to gain knowledge and background of the process.

  • A Day In Oakland Zoo: Experience Review

A Day In Oakland Zoo: Experience Review

Last week our family planned a day trip to Oakland zoo, an hour car drive away from home. Since many of our family members have not been to a zoo before and its Mia’s 4th month birthday, we thought it would be a perfect time of the year to go and discover real animals that we only read in books or watch in t.v. That was just our only thought why we decided to go to the nearest zoo in our county but what we have experienced was a total surprise for all of us and it was indeed more than what we expected.

    OAKLAND ZOO: THE BRIEF HISTORY

It was known before as Knowland Zoo located in Southeastern Oakland, California. It’s  a 100 acre zoo and the home of natural and exotic animals kept well maintained in their natural habitats. Founded in 1922 by naturalist Henry A. Snow and was established as a non profit organization by Alameda County Botanical and Zoological Society, what was known now as East Bay Zoological Society. The zoo has been operating under the organization as a non profit organization for the city of Oakland since 1982. In 25 years of existence, the zoo has been awarded a lot of times, being recognized for its animal management and endangered specie programs. Over the years, the zoo went through major improvements from animal care to visitor’s experience.

There had been public support from the City of Oakland and East Bay Regional Parks District which contributed to the zoo’s operating budget. Others funds came from different community including private sectors, individuals, foundations, corporations, and memberships. Yearly public support from all these sources sustained the low cost of admission and keep the zoo affordable and attainable too all economic levels of the community.

    THE EXPERIENCE

We want to give you a tour to the zoo from the entrance way, the rides and the zoo proper. We want to share our experience and be able to give you a first impression if you ever want to plan your visit one day. Let’s go and explore Oakland Zoo!

    [video_embed url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnz1qx1OKd4″ embed_style=”default”]

    FINAL INSIGHT

I must say that Oakland zoo is a lovely place to visit, perfect for families and friends, a fun and a wonderful place to bond with the kids.

We loved it especially when we have our baby with us to experience everything even the rides, it was really amazing. It was really memorable and its worth going for sure, we had a lot of fun and we enjoyed the animals as much as what we expected and the rides gave us a new unique experience too.

Our baby is still very young to remember all the precious moments we had in this place but we will definitely come back when she’s a little bit bigger and when she can be able to recognize and enjoy the animals more.

Are you looking for an educational adventure and a fun getaway in Oakland? This is definitely a place for you to explore!

Mia’s Little Feet Adventures: Sawyer’s Camp Trail

How about a getaway after Thanksgiving? Yes! that was another adventure of our baby, Mia’s little feet second outdoor adventure!

After the joy of thanksgiving at home, our family planned to go somewhere to spend a good time together outdoors. We wanted to enjoy the season outside and we wanted our baby to visit some place where she could feel the breeze of the nature in her skin. So we decided to go to a Camp Trail in San Mateo and then to a beach in Santa Cruz. Early in the morning after the joyful night of thanksgiving celebration, we got up and made ourselves ready. I packed all Mia’s needs including anything else she may needed and my loving husband’s job was to secured Mia’s carrier and stroller in the van while the rest of the family were in charge of the food. Before we left I had to feed baby and changed her diaper before we put her in her carrier and in the car seat. After all our valuables were prepared we put everything in the van then off we go!

    SAWYER CAMP TRAIL

Mia was sleeping so soundly in her car seat that she didn’t even bother the noise we made when we were sharing laughter and jokes while traveling. It took us an hour and a half to reached the camp.

Sawyer Camp is a part of Crystal Springs Regional Trail in the south of San Mateo County. It is best known for its lengthy trail which  bikers/cyclist, hikers, joggers and horseback riders love the most. It is a very popular recreation for families because there you can spend time exercising together while enjoying the serenity of the water reservoir and the shades of trees around the area.

When we arrived, we found numerous cars parked on the side of the road and that made it very difficult for us to find parking especially for the size of the van that we had, we needed big parking space to fit in. We needed to go back and forth to find the right spot and fortunately after 15 minutes or so we finally found a good space to park, it was not close to the camp entrance way but we didn’t have a choice.

Everybody got off the van while Mia tried to open her eyes and fully stretched her arms as she wondered where she was. We took her in her stroller and walked with everyone a few miles away towards the camp’s entrance. Restrooms were near the entrance gate, we took advantage of that and pee before walking on the trail. Once we started walking we saw a lot of people walking, jogging and biking, some were coming towards us and others were heading same direction as ours. It was a cool sunny day with lot of winds. We were glad that we were wearing our jackets and that we wrapped our baby well with blankets. While walking we got to see beautiful view of the water reservoir. The tranquility and the great landscape were breathtaking, it was such a very picturesque view. We saw benches along the side of the trail in several different spots to allow people to rest and hydrate. The trail was very long and we had to stop to rest and sat on one and feed Mia with bottle of milk. Nothing else was more special than to see our baby smirked as sunshine and cool wind kissed her face.We continued walking until we got tired and decided not to go further more. The trail seem to not have an end but the time we spent to walk was way worth it because it gave us a good time to talk and joke. Even though we did not get to the end of that trail we still had to praise ourselves because we made it long where we where that even felt like it was 3 miles and that for us was very long since we rarely do long walks. This was definitely a nice experience to unwind such lovely place and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to have outdoor adventures.THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE TRAVELING TO THIS PLACE:

    1. Expect to walk some distance away from the entrance of the camp because there are a lot of people visiting the place and parking is a bit difficult to find.

    2. Sawyer Camp Trail does NOT allow dogs to enter. Not a dog- friendly area.

Lake Temescal, Oakland CA: Baby Mia’s 1st Outdoor Adventure

CATCHING TWO BIRDS IN ONE STONE

Mia was about a month old and some days when we took her to an outdoor adventure in a lake in Oakland. As a new mommy I kinda was worried about taking her out of the house because the outside world was all new to her and her skin was so delicate that it’ll be hard for her to combat the type of weather outside. But then I realized that we already had been inside the house for a month and she looked healthy and maybe it was time for the both of us to get some fresh air outside so that we could expose Mia to the natural light and have her experience a different pace too. To make that happen all I needed to do was to get everything ready and be mindful of necessary precautions so that baby would not get sick.

The following questions that I had in mind before leaving home with baby:

    1. What are the MUST HAVE’S that baby needs when she’s on an outside adventure?

Of course her formula milk, bottles, thermo container for her hot water, diapers, wipes, blankets, bibs, extra clothes, hat, mittens and the most important thing; the carrier and the stroller.

    2. How should I properly dress her?

I told myself that it depends on the weather outside and the time we needed to go to the Lake it would be early in the morning and it was obviously cold so I dressed her appropriately by making her wear a pinky hoodie. I did not want to overdress or under-dress her but just fine that she would not feel cold at all. I made sure to dress her in layers and covered her head, hands and feet. After I prepared all her things and everyone in the family packed everything from our food to the other necessary things we needed, we headed our way to Lake Temescal: Temescal Regional Recreational Area in Oakland California. It is located next to the junction highways 24 & 13 in Oakland. It is an urban oasis where big trees and the panoramic view of Lake Temescal can be found. It is a very convenient place for family picnics and other recreational activities such as fishing, biking and hiking.

HOW FAR IS IT FROM HOME?

It took us an hour drive from where we live (Vallejo, CA) to get to Lake Temescal. We arrived in the place early in the morning around 9 a.m and we parked the car for free (there’s a mini wood tent with a poster about details of parking fee but nobody was there). There were already numerous cars parked and we saw some families like us have their own baby too with them in strollers. There was a cold breeze of wind coming from the trees and leaves were falling on the ground while kids started to run back and forth playing and parents were busy  pulling out their things from their cars.

WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF LAKE TEMESCAL?

Our baby Mia was always asleep after a car ride as expected, when we arrived she was still asleep when No, my husband took her carrier from the car seat. We headed to the lake and we passed through a lot of picnic tables and some of them were already occupied by families or group of students gathered together to eat. There was a big kids playground and available restrooms were next to it. As we walked through the pathway we saw big trees along the sidewalk. We started to look for space with a picnic table but for our surprise some of them were already marked as reserved and there was one that was reserved for a wedding celebration which had a lot of chairs and balloons lined up with the flowers. We did some walking until we found an available space for us. We really liked the one we found because the lake was just foots away. It was a spacious picnic table under a tree with a grill on the side and its near to a fishing dock. We had our food grilled for our lunch while having very happy moments of laughter and talks. Under the tree where we sat, I held Mia in  my arms and gave her milk. Her eyes winked when the tree leaves moved and swayed because of the wind.

After our lunch, we went to see the fishing dock and there were men with their fishing poles patiently waiting for a catch. We saw that they have their nets too and they have already caught some fish. We didn’t have our fishing poles so we just watched and those men were friendly enough to talked to us about how they fish. We took baby Mia with us and she loved the cool wind blowing from the lake and her eyes wondered when she saw the fish in the net. But when we went back to our table she had fallen back to sleep in the shoulders of her Grandpa. Lake Temescal is a dog friendly park too. We saw a lot of people walking with their dogs and some stopped in front of us to introduce them to us. We loved dogs and we enjoyed talking with strangers, those dog owners who passed through us and let us play with their lovely pet for some time.  There was also this student who had his drone and so friendly that he happily talked to us about how it works.

    OVERALL EXPERIENCE

It was indeed a fun day for all of us even to our little Mia. She had her first outdoor adventure, different environment, got some fresh air and enjoyed the natural light of the day. This lovely place will always be a part of her sweet memories as others would say “First times are always unforgettable”.

Head to the Top: The Sutro Tower & Twin Peaks of San Francisco,CA

Who would say no to an adventure of exploring new places which were just few miles away from where you at?

After a business appointment in one of the places in San Francisco we drove up ourselves to visit some of the closest attractive spots that we saw on our way. From a further view, we saw a tower prominently standing on the hills of the city, The Sutro Tower featured itself in the foggy skyline, it’s one of the city’s landmark.

We have seen this view in some famous movies and that is what made us eager to take a closer look and see it in reality. We had to park on the last street where the last home is and walked up hoping to get some beautiful views and that made us have a good walking adventure. It was a perfect cool sunny day near noon time when we reached the tower, the cold breeze blew constantly from the tall trees and wild flowers bloomed silently in the corner of tall grasses.

The sky started to clear as the day progressed and it made us saw the tower standing in the clear sky in stripes of red color and white. The surroundings of the tower was clean, peaceful, quiet and a pet friendly environment. There were big logs on the side-walks which I suppose were benches to rest upon.We walked around the place to explore some interesting things this place offered and as we walked a bit further we have discovered a view of a small water reservoir lying in few meters away down the lower hill. The water showed the reflection of the clear sky and sparkled with the sun’s heat, it was indeed very refreshing view. During our walk we saw beautiful sights of the city but it was not a full view of the entire city because there were some trees and houses blocking the view.  And from where we were, we saw cars passing the roads on the other hill close by and we thought of going there too with hopes to see a better view of the entire city. We headed where those cars where going and we saw a lot of people who were walking along the road uphill and taking pictures while enjoying the very nice view, it was for sure the perfect location for the view that we were looking for the whole city.

A very scenic and picturesque view of San Francisco, peaceful and lovely. It was sunny and windy, just so perfect to enjoy the moment of peace and beauty of the place. The Twin Peaks of San Francisco is one of the must visit destination for tourists or locals within the city, best for family or friends outdoor adventure exploration that could be a perfect place for dating couples.

It was my first time to visit these places and I will forever be thankful to God for giving me this opportunity to see all these wonders. Times like this will always be memorable to me.

Is it just me or would this be a place you would visit if you haven’t? I for sure will visit The Twin Peaks again when I get the chance.

    Sunflower Field, Davis CA

    Sunflower

Field of Sunflowers in Davis California

I am a huge lover of flowers and that Flower Farm had always been one of my dream bucket list place to go to. This past week we went to Sacramento and while on our way, passing by the roads of Davis we saw a beautiful blooming field of sunflowers. I felt so amazed with the stunning yellow colors brightly shining under the sun’s heat in the widest field. My husband knew how I loved flowers so to satisfy my excitement he explored the road and drove into a rocky trail going to the field. We passed through a train railroad and in a few more distance there was an open gate with a sign board saying “Private, No Trespassing”.

To my surprise, without hesitation my husband just continued driving breaking in into the property closer to the field of flowers.stop sign at railroad            I saw the charming scenery of the field just a few steps away from where we parked. I had the spark of joy that delighted my eyes when I saw the blooming field of bright yellow shades from the big flowers.

Me and the sunflower            It was amazing to see how these flowers grew together so tall and bloom as big as they can in a very hot season. It was noon time, a perfect timing of summer which I believed was the sunflower’s fullest peak blossom. It stood high and swayed with the blowing wind. I had the urge and excitement to see the flowers up close but I was reluctant to do so because of the bees that were swarming around, here I realized that bees were very common to sunflower farms. Though I was hesitant I still took my steps towards the flowers and with my very supportive husband he guided me to get so close to a single flower.

Sunflowers view             It was my first time to have seen how big sunflowers can grow and measure how tall its stems could reach. It was simply a wonderful experience, we had fun taking some videos and photographs and enjoyed watching the bees that buzzed around each flower.

Sunflowers + me It was a hot day but indeed a very worth the risk experience.

Sunflowers Davis            Though being mindful that we had just taken the chance of breaking in into the private property, we allowed ourselves to enjoy together the lovely moment of being in a very beautiful place like this. My happiness to achieve one of my dream bucket list was fulfilled by my loving husband and it was a very memorable moment for the two of us together that will surely last a lifetime.

If you are looking for some outdoor adventure, why not try to visit such a lovely place of flower farms like a sunflower field. It’s one way to take a break from the normal routine and usual environment. A great walk along the beautiful flowers will relax your mind and it’s a fun way to at least enjoy a moment of peace and appreciate nature’s beauty.

Have you been in a flower farm or flower field and had the same experience or experience more fun than we did? Let us know where, we would appreciate to hear the story of your experience.
